CustomerFirst Renewables is excited to join healthcare leaders at CleanMed 2017 in Minneapolis, May 16-18. CEO Gary Farha will serve on a panel with leaders in healthcare sustainability, dissecting the impact of large-scale renewables on energy costs, as well as public health.
Panel Topic: How to Implement Attractive Large-Scale Renewable Energy Solutions
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Date: Wednesday, May 17th
Where: Hilton Convention Center, Minneapolis
Health care organizations in the U.S. spend more than $6.5 billion on energy costs every year–a significant share of operating expenses that increased by more than 50% in the past decade and is forecast to continue rising. While the current focus on energy efficiency measures and lean energy construction can help reduce energy use and cost, the remaining energy consumption exposes health care facilities over the long term to cost increases, price risks, and harmful carbon emission pollution.
Technology cost reductions and favorable market economics make large-scale renewable energy an increasingly compelling choice for health care organizations to make step-change improvements in their greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint, while reducing long-term cost and risk of electricity procurement. However, successfully securing solutions that are economically attractive and that pass muster with senior decision makers is a non-trivial task. This interactive and action-oriented panel session will share peer experience from health care systems and industry experts on “how” they implemented their projects.
