CustomerFirst Renewables Selected to Present to Investors at MAVA Capital Connection 2011
Washington, DC May 3, 2011 CustomerFirst Renewables (CFR), founded to fundamentally change how value from renewable electricity generation is captured by giving control of utility-scale renewable energy projects directly to large customers, has been selected as one of 32 companies to present to investors at the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association´s Capital Connection 2011 on May 12 13, 2011 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.
Carter Griffin, general partner of Updata Partners and 2011 Capital Connection co-chair said, "This year´s group of applicants is one of the strongest in Capital Connection´s 10+ year history. This is a testament to the caliber of companies that have previously come through Capital Connection from both in and out of our of our region such as LivingSocial, OPOWER, Blackboard, and more. The 2011 presenters are game-changing companies in a variety of sectors that will appeal to all types of investors from angel to late stage."
″It´s an honor to be selected to present at Capital Connection 2011″ said Gary Farha, CFR´s President and CEO. ″We are excited to share our view on how CFR can grow the renewable energy market by bringing new customers, a broader set of supply options, and new sources of capital and credit to the table, using a customer-first mindset.″
Farha continued, ″Many large electricity users want renewables to supply more of their needs but are struggling to find economically attractive solutions. These organizations want the benefits of competitively and predictably priced green power, without the challenges of operating assets. CFR meets this need by acting on each customer´s behalf to design, deploy and operate large wind and solar production assets, tailored to their needs.″
″Our purpose for participating in Capital Connection 2011 is to bring greater visibility to CFR with the investor community. Our pipeline of customer opportunities has grown to a point where we need to ramp up and accelerate our ability to develop and operate them. Securing additional outside funding will help us do that″ said Farha. ″We are bullish about the potential for new renewable energy to create jobs, and bring much greater economic and sustainable value to large end-users across the U.S.″
